I was born in the Bronx, New York and attended Hunter College (now Lehman College). My early college experience was interrupted by four years of service in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam conflict. Upon returning from military service, I attended Pace College (now Pace University) in New York City and earned a degree in business and accounting. Later, I attended Pepperdine University where I earned an MBA and after having worked for IBM, GE and Coopers & Lybrand (a “big six” CPA firm), I attended Western State University College of Law to earn my J.D. degree and passed the State Bar exam in 1999.

While in law school, I clerked for a Superior Court Judge in Orange County, California and joined the law firm of Gerard O’Brien whose practice included estate planning, probate and litigation. Mr. O’Brien took a sabbatical from the practice of law (closed his office) and I joined the law office of Attlesey & Thomlinson (now Attlesey & Storm) where I gained experience in general litigation while continuing to provide services to clients in estate planning, trusts and probate.

In 2007, I opened the doors of my own law office and have been providing services in the areas of estate planning, probate, conservatorships, estate and trust litigation, and general business formation and litigation. I remain very active in continuing legal education to stay current in the latest developments in the law and the courts. I am a member of the Orange County Bar Association’s Estates and Trusts section and Business Litigation section.

My goal is to provide the best personalized services to my clients. I enjoy my work and working with people to resolve their problems. If you are looking for the service and personal attention of an attorney who focuses on your needs, you have found the right attorney in the Law Office of Michael R. Weinstein, APC.
